As I grow, the question “Who am I in this world?” continues to shift and evolve. I’ve been reflecting on how my roles—daughter, mother, entrepreneur, leader—define me, but these are just titles. The deeper truth is that I’m still discovering who I am, both to myself and to the world.
At 57, I find myself asking new questions about life, womanhood, and authenticity. In my younger years, I embraced the hustle, survival mode, and playing small. Now, I’m learning to listen to my heart, honoring the wisdom that comes with age. I feel the gentle pull toward a deeper spiritual journey. I’m reading Eat, Pray, Love for the first time, and it’s offering me a fresh perspective on my own journey. I hear there’s an ashram in New York—perhaps my path will lead me there.
Sacred Success: A Spiritual Journey
Sacred success is not just a business term to me; it’s a way of being. It's about aligning my life and business with a deeper, spiritual purpose. It’s the feeling that the success I experience in my business is part of a much larger journey of personal transformation and soul alignment.
My work, the businesses I’ve created, and my drive to help others all come from this place of knowing that success is sacred when it’s in harmony with who I truly am. But this path hasn’t always been easy.
The Struggles of Self-Discovery: Divorce, Healing, and Reclaiming My Feminine Energy
The most challenging part of my journey has been healing from the past, particularly after my divorce. In the aftermath, I found myself balancing the needs of my children, building a business, and dealing with the emotional toll of years of emotional abuse. I was surviving by living in my masculine energy. Now, I'm learning to embrace the more feminine parts of myself—those that allow me to just be.
It’s been challenging to stop "doing" all the time, to find moments of stillness, and to embrace quiet as part of my growth. Yet, every day, I am taking small steps toward this: a few minutes of quiet time, moving my body, eating better, and staying in spaces that bring me joy. The word "play" keeps coming up for me, and I feel it’s something I must explore further. I have never been someone to be playful. But this is my next lesson.
Embracing Change: Aging, Authenticity, and Letting Go of Expectations
As I get older, I’m reflecting more deeply on what it means to be a woman. I’ve always walked to a different drumbeat. I’ve never been the glamorous type, but now I’m starting to embrace what feels true for me. I’ve decided to let my gray hair grow out—who knows, maybe it will look beautiful! And as I age, I am learning to look in the mirror and love what I see, wrinkles and all.
This chapter of life is not about hiding anymore, but about embracing the beauty of aging and learning to love every phase of it. It's about being authentic—not just in how I live but in how I look, too.
A Purpose to Serve: Building NLBP and the Soul Professional Movement
I’ve always had a deep desire to serve others, and it’s been the thread that ties everything I do together. My work started in counseling and expanded into non-profit leadership. Eventually, I created NLBP to help people unite their gifts with the world. I feel a deep sense of purpose in helping others unlock their potential, and I see the Soul Professional Movement as an extension of that purpose.
Teaching business skills and empowering others to design businesses that are aligned with their soul’s calling is a journey I’ve been on for years. My mission has always been to help others serve, and it continues to evolve with the Soul Professional Movement, which has become a global platform for soul-aligned entrepreneurs.
Integrating Logic and Spirit: The Truth of Who I Am
For much of my life, I kept my logical, strategic mind and my spiritual side separate. But as I’ve grown, I’ve come to embrace both parts of myself. I see things others don’t; I know things others can’t explain. I speak with spirit, and spirit speaks to me. It’s always been this way, and I no longer hide it. I’m learning to honor both my logical mind and my intuitive gifts, and they are working together to guide me toward even greater success.
The Courage to Keep Going
Courage has been a constant companion on this journey. There were times when I wanted to shrink back and play small, but I made a conscious decision to step into bigger rooms, to put myself in positions that would push me to grow. It takes courage to be on camera. It takes courage to run a business. It takes courage to face each new day and say, “Yes, I choose to do this again today.”
Courage isn’t always about big, dramatic acts—it’s about the quiet decisions to keep moving forward, even when it feels uncertain.
The Evolution of My Identity: From Survival to Thriving
Each decade of my life feels like a new beginning. Oprah once said that every decade is a new chapter, and I’ve lived that truth. Now, as I enter this new phase of life, I’m more excited than ever about what’s to come. My kids are grown, and I’m embracing a new life where I get to focus more on myself—my career, my spiritual journey, and my self-awareness.
I used to live for others. But now, I am embracing the chapter about me. This phase is about more than just business; it’s about personal growth, fulfillment, and aligning everything in my life with my soul’s calling.
Self-Love: The Heart of Success
Self-love is the cornerstone of success. Without it, nothing else can truly align. I’m learning to listen to my heart, to follow my joy, and to do things because I want to, not because I have to. I take time to care for myself—whether it’s hiking, going to the gym, or traveling. These moments of self-care fuel my ability to serve others and show up as the best version of myself.
Your Journey to Sacred Success
Success is unique for each of us. My hope is that, by sharing my journey, you’ll see that you are not alone. Each of us is on our own path of discovery, and it’s okay to not have it all figured out. What matters most is that we keep going, that we trust the process, and that we stay true to who we are. Sacred success is about alignment—finding peace with who you are and creating a life that reflects your soul’s purpose.
